ThePortuguese Association of Classification and Data Analysis(CLAD) and the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar(IPT) have the pleasure to organize the XIX Journeys of Classification and Data Analysis (JOCLAD2012),which will be held, from 28th to 31st March of 2012, inTomar, Portugal. The IPT has a large, modern and well equipped academic campus, offering the ideal infrastructures to embrace this sort of events.
The main goals of this annual conference directed, among others, to teachers, investigators, students and users, who share interests on Classification and Data Analysis, are:
ŸPromote and develop investigation in this field of Statistics;
ŸStimulate and divulgate the national scientific production, on applied (namely to civil society) and theoretical strands;
ŸDevelop mechanisms of dialogue, collaboration, discussion and scientific interchange between statisticians and users;
Ÿ Strengthen cohesion and affirmation of CLAD.
On ScientificProgram of 2012 edition, are predicted:
Ÿ 28th March of 2012:- Two mini-courses.Ÿ 29th to 31st March of 2012:- Four Plenary Sessions given by invited speakers;- Thematic Sessions;
- Selected Free Communications, organized in Oral Parallel Sessions and Posters.
The participants and their registered accompaniers are invited to participate on the SocialProgram of the Journeys.
We hope, indeed, that the scientific program of the meeting, the history and the culture of Tomar are enough motifs to participate in JOCLAD2012.
